The Rabbit Residence, located in Bangkok, Thailand, is a testament to Hemvijitraphan's ability to create a harmonious blend of architecture and landscape. The residence is characterized by a series of planar walls that create an interplay between solid and void, resulting in a living space that is constantly in a state of flux. The rhythmic walls and vertical grooves in the floor create three-dimensional voids that allow a seamless connection of internal and external space.
The design was inspired by the concept of living in an "in-between space" that mediates inside and outside, with indefinite boundaries to be a part of the landscape naturally. The fluid floor plan, which extends into the landscape, enhances this living experience. The residence is a testament to Hemvijitraphan's innovative approach to design, which prioritizes flexibility and interaction with the environment.
The Rabbit Residence is not just a design marvel but also a technological feat. The house was constructed using white plaster concrete wall with air captivity, tempered glass door and window with customized aluminium frame, white Carrara marble, steel door, wood floor, concealed motorised mosquito net, and granite stone. The residence, with an area of 770 Sq.m., is a perfect example of Hemvijitraphan's commitment to using high-quality materials and innovative construction techniques.
One of the key challenges in creating the Rabbit Residence was maintaining the clean white planar wall without any undesired extrusion. This was achieved by integrating every service shaft into the structure or placing it in the cavity wall. The house also features exceptionally tall openings, for which a custom aluminium frame was designed to withstand more weight but still maintain a slim look.
The Rabbit Residence is a testament to Hemvijitraphan's ability to overcome design challenges and create a living space that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The residence, with its unique design features and innovative construction techniques, is a worthy recipient of the prestigious A' Architecture, Building and Structure Design Award.
In conclusion, the Rabbit Residence is a shining example of Hemvijitraphan's innovative approach to design. It is a residence that not only offers a unique living experience but also redefines the boundaries of architectural design. It is a design that truly deserves its place among the top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that have been recognized by the A' Design Award.
